Priorities Are Everything

There can be times when you feel there is so much to do and not enough time. This busyness can be overwhelming. How are you supposed to meet everyone's needs including your own? To be honest there will be times when you simply can't do everything and being able to accept this is key to your wellness, as is having clear priorities.

So how do your prioritise?

Be clear on your values. By living by your true north you can more easily make decisions about how you spend your time as you have significantly greater clarity and focus. For example, if your family are the most important aspect of your life and you are overloaded with work, then it easier to leave work so that you are home with your family. Likewise, if being financially secure is important to you then minimising frivolous spending is easier to do.

Once you have gained clarity on your values, the next step is to consistently invest your time and energy in these areas that are important to you. The danger is, if you don't, that you will succumb to the countless distractions of everyday life that can lead you down an alternative path.

I encourage you to explore your values, invest your time and energy in these areas that matter to you, so that before you know it you are on your chosen path.
