When you experience change in your life it is common for doubt to rear its ugly head. The mind kicks in with thoughts spinning around in your head. Thoughts of what has been (your past), what is yet to be (your future) and often anything else it can latch onto.
Doubt plays on your fears. It makes you question yourself and the goal you are setting out to achieve. During these times I have found it valuable to firstly acknowledge that doubt is simply false evidence that appears real. I also try to catch myself when I start paying attention to the "monkey mind", which is the constant chatter of the mind, as I know from previous experience that investing energy into the thoughts of "what if" and "if only" doesn't get me any closer to what I want to achieve.
I encourage you to also evolve your self-awareness when doubt arises. Acknowledge the "monkey mind" but then choose not to give these thoughts any weight. Instead, focus your energy on the future you want to create and the next step you need to take to move closer to achieving it.
I am not saying it is going to be easy, but as you will come to experience the outcomes can be very rewarding when you invest your energy into thoughts, feelings and behaviours that take you towards your goal.
