I had the privilege to hear Cam Calkoen speak at a First Foundation mentoring event during the week. I was truly touched by his words. To be honest I spent most of the time during his talk with a lump in my throat, holding back my tears.
Cam was born with Cerebral Palsy. He talks of being told his mobility would likely be a wheelchair or if he was really lucky a walking frame. Cam chose to dream bigger than that though and has gone on to represent New Zealand in athletics. This is just one of many achievements by this truly remarkable man.
Rather than trying to retell Cam's message, watch this video from when he presented at TEDxQueenstown.
